Book Review: Hoot

Hoot by Carl Hiaasen is about a boy named Roy Eberthardt. Roy meets a boy named (mullet fingers) and makes friends with a girl named Betrice Leep which is actually (mullet fingers) step sister they all became friends. All three of them are trying to save the Burrowing owls from the pancake people wanting to build a Mother Paula's Pancake House in Coconut Cove. So at the pancake house party, Roy stood up in front of everybody, and announced that their were burrowing owls in the burrows were they were going to make the pancake house, so Roy took some meet and put it by a burrow and told everybody to be quiet and a burrowing owl came out. So they didn't make a pancake house.

I liked this book because it is kind of like a mystery book. It's also funny because mullet fingers spray painted a police officers car black to make it look like it was night time, and another time mullet fingers put an alligator in a port-o-pottie and the officer was going to go to the bathroom until he saw the alligator. Right after he saw the alligator he ran out screaming, know that's funny.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes funny mystery books, and if you like owls this would be a good book for you. So if you like funny mystery books, I think you should read this book. So read it. OR ELSE! THE OWLS WILL COME AFTER U. BUM BUM BUM

BUUUUUM!
